Will I get viruses installing Diresight?
No! Don't just take my word for it -- 100% of the code is visible in GitHub. You're encouraged to check it out.
Will I get banned for using Diresight?
No! Diresight adjusts your monitor's display settings (gamma, contrast, etc.) at the hardware level—it doesn't touch game files, inject code, or interact with the game process in any way. Anti-cheat software can't detect it because there's nothing to detect.
Why did you build this?
I'm a long time EFT player and just got sick and tired of dealing with broken lighting for 8 years. All the tools out there were bloated or required you downloading a program built in 2009 from a sketchy site and following a whole tutorial to set up.
I set out to create something for my friends and I that was effective and easy to use.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely free. No trials, no premium tiers, no subscriptions. Just download and use it, forever. Donations are greatly appreciated, never required.
Will this make me a better player?
I can confirm, it will not. But, at least you'll be able to see why you lost.
Does it affect my FPS or game performance?
Zero impact. Diresight communicates directly with your GPU/monitor, completely separate from the game. Your frames stay exactly where they were.
What games does it work with?
All of them. Since Diresight works at the display level, it's game-agnostic. Escape from Tarkov, ARC Raiders, CS2, Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, League of Legends, GTA 6 (hah), Dota 2, Marvel Rivals, Rust, Hunt: Showdown, Dark Souls, PUBG, Valorant, DOOM, weirdo emulators, whatever — if your monitor can display it, Diresight can adjust it.
How is this different from changing settings in-game?
Many games lock or limit visual settings. Diresight bypasses this entirely by adjusting your display output directly. Plus, you can switch profiles instantly with a hotkey—no pausing or menu diving.
